Thank you to all for the great feedback... Jamie & Kristin / Lakeside Restorations

  • I took this opportunity to purchase my Procharger M-3 from Jamie 2 seasons ago. It was the best thing I ever did for my boat. Nothing like the whoosh of a blower spooling up, watching the boost gauge climb and feeling a big boat surge forward in a hurry. I highly recommend it.
  • Like I said, it has been two seasons and I am now getting ready for a refresh. Keeping the Procharger and going bigger!
  • Thanks Jamie   I intend to try it without them and try some 4 blade 26p. Im runnin 3 blade 23p now and topping at 62 +/- at about 4600 rpm. i may not have enough hp to get much more, but I thought i would try a few things to gain some speed
  • Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions on were to find new decals for my resto project, after talking with Jamie last night I feel confident that he will be able to provide me with the most accurate reproduction decals at a fair price. Considering the money that I am spending on refinishing this boat I want a product that is of good quaility, will stand up to time and a merchant that will stand behind it. Thanks again everyone I really appreciate all your help. Jim
  • When I looked around Jamie was good enough to quickly respond to me. Actually, nobody else even responded to my pm's.
  • I went with Jamie's decals and was VERY HAPPY with them. They were exactly what I wanted. Since my boat was an older X-18, Jamie took painstaking efforts to make sure he got it right.
  • Jamie's were actually easier to apply than the set I had that was supposed to be the "proper set" Other than that, they were an exact match.
  • Jamie,  received the GPS speedo today looks great thanks again just what I wanted super job guys.  Steve
  • DONZIzxxx RE:  Your 18 classic resto:  You will love it! I have had some dealings with Jamie at Lakeside. He is a stand up guy. I would expect he will pull it off well. Tell him that I said hello.
  • I would like to Thank you guys for the Imco hyd. steering. Service was top notice,No B.S.,get it done @ my door in 6 days even with gobberments holiday. The money that I saved from you guys buys me Mikes280time on the motor & time on the dyno.On my budget thats very important. Please support you BoatFreaks sponsor. Thanks guys looking to doing business w/ you in the future.
  • I talked to them the tail end of last season about re-powering the Galaxy....AWSOME AWSOME people, great husband and wife team....If it hadnt been for the distance from Alabama to PA they would have done my re-power for me....Top Notch People...Glad to see them on Boat Freaks...
  • Just sent Jamie a PM to check on some things myself, good to hear your transaction was flawless.
  • Listen to Jamie at lakeside!! I started to use that Awlgrip and Interlux Perfection stuff. I am sure it is really good if you are a pro that uses it all the time but it has cyanide or something in it that will kill you. I am not sure about that but the guy at Jamestown Distributors that sold me $900 of it said so after I bought and paid for it and got it to the shop and started using it. I scraped that idea after the paint just really didn't pop like I wanted. You only have a set number of colors to pick from also. We went with the PPG paint and I think it looks fine. I used the Prime Kote epoxy primer. I can't remember the number but PPG makes some really great clear for marine use. I am talking about top paint now. I have no idea about the bottom. Jamie does this for a living and from what I hear he turns out top notch stuff. I am glad that I talked to him even if it was after I had already started.
  • OK thanks Jamie your always a great help
  • Installed Dana exhaust on my 05 Donzi 22 classic 496 HO saw noticeable mid range punch, about 2 mph on top end, up one pitch in the prop...price was reasonable for performance gains... purchased from Jaime @ Lakeside, he also did the install.. Good Luck  ? Undertaker
  • Jamie is right again!!I just went through all of this myself. I have a 96 25 ZX and I changed my paint color. I had a white Taco rubrail with the stainless insert. I needed the black. I went throughWest Marine and it ended up taking 4 weeks and 800 bucks to get the same thing that I already had just in a different color!  ? 502stang?
  • Jamie at Lakeside did the decals for my 73 X-18 and nailed it perfectly. They were good quality and easy to apply. Drop him a line or call. He is a site sponsor and can get it done
  • ThanX J, i recieved the parts you ordered for me yesterday...
  • Order from Jamie. I got my T-stats from him, quick service! Mike
  • Jamie's service is great, give em a shout, you'll even get to talk to HIM, now thats customer service!
  • Dag on Jamie!  I had read about your good and quick service on
  • Jamie sent me a new trim pump so I installed it today. I anticipated a nightmare, but the pump had all the factory connectors on it already. I plugged it in and I'm done.
  • Obviously, if you can afford a new Procharger setup then definitely buy it from Jamie @ Lakeside. Their prices and knowledge are unmatched
  • Just wanted to let you know the order for the Leverage product arrived a little while ago.  Thanks very much for getting it out right away.
  • I called Jamie today, and left a message with his wife. He called me back promptly. We covered everything about blowers, and changing pistons to Steering and drives. He did a great job, and answered all my questions. I think once I get some money. It's time for me to hookup, and trailer out out to PA stopping in Ohio on the way more then likely.
  • Dag on Jamie!  I had read about your good and quick service on teambajamarine, but that is what I call a quick response.
  • Just wanted to let you know the order for the Leverage product arrived a little while ago.  Thanks very much for getting it out right away.
  • Thanks for the help Jamie. I found the problem
  • Jamie, Just wanted to close the loop with you Sir.... I now have the exhaust installed and love them - They are a Great Upgrade Take Care and Thank You for All the Help Marvin
  • Good info Jamie!
  • That's an impressive looking dyno sheet!!!
  • Jamie,Thanks again for your time & advice on the Pro-charger, I'm sure I'll be getting back with you within the next few months.
  • To make a long stroy short i bought a used procharger here off the forum and needed some parts and a whole lotta help installing it. Jamie @ lakeside took care of everything that i needed and gave me more install tips than i could have ever expected. HE most certainly gave customer support a step up and beyond of what was expected or even called for. Fox Chapel is 20 mins from me but if u notice from my post in the compaints section( I dont post that often but when i do i try to get everything covered) I'm driving almost 6 hrs to have him work on the boat over winter. So thanks again jamie and hats off to you and you impecable service/support!. Derek Glaser
  • I dropped off my 33 OL over there with Jamie this past weekend, late Sat. afternoon to be exact (like 4pm on a SATURDAY) and he is awsome. Going to be getting some damage repaired from a run in with a log, and some upgrades/repairs done at the same time. He is totally professional and down to earth at the same time. I know my baby is in good hands with him this winter, so just wanted to chime in and let everyone know that he's doing a great job. -mike
  • I just felt the need to drop a post praising Jamie / Lakeside Performance. I am kind of jumping the gun as I have only received about 25% of what i ordered so far but the service has just been great(it was a pain in da butt order too, i ordered like 10 things and each one pretty much comes from a different manufacturer). He has answered every email and returned every phone call immediately. More importantly he takes the time to explain even the simplest of things for my rookie azz. It is obvious to me that he is not in this for a one shot order but wants to have a long term relationship for whatever I do in the future, and that is few and far between these days....Jamie thanks for the great service.
  •  Just a follow up for everyone. Installed the signal line conditioner that I got from Jamie @ Lakeside Restorations.Com  No more black soot and no more loading up on idle. Took a trip to the keys the other weekend about 100 miles round trip and transom clean. Never had a problem in idle.  Thanks Jamie for all the help!!
  • Jamie is a good guy...................Really knows his stuff..........
  • Just had my first dealings with Jamie on the phone today. Took time to answer all my questions and make sure I had the right parts and numbers. Just placed an order via his web site. Now all there is to do is wait on the mail man. LOL.....  great looking job by Jamie & crew!
  • Jamie, nice job.......WOW! I wish you were closer to Florida...
  • Looks very niiiiiiiiiice!!!!.............................. Good job jamie..
  • Went and picked up my boat from Jamie @ Lakeside yesterday afternoon, the exhaust looks VERY VERY nice great job Jamie thanks for the extra effort and clean (boat never looked like it was worked on) .
  • Just got off the phone with Jamie. He sounded really busy and up to his neck in work. I felt like I should call back at a better time. This profesional took the time to talk to me and explain my options and prices for not only 1 project but 2. Jamie was absolutely great! He answered all my questions and gave me some great numbers to go by. Extremely knowledgable about his systems and really confident about what he can do. Thanks for taking the time Jamie. You have earned my business in 5 short minutes. Just gotta scrape some cash together now ... Talk to ya soon...
  • Jamie, thanks for the help, you were great to deal with. I'll be dealing with you again. The boat sounds much better now.
  • I do some casual reading of posts and I noticed that Jamie/Lakeside responds with good information and incite. I had some questions about winterization, so I emailed Jamie. He responded to 3 inquires within hours (if not minutes). Not just brief answers, but details. Good stuff and much appreciated. I?ve been winterizing my boat for several years now, and I?ve seen posts on different ways to winterize (fogging, antifreeze/types, oils, etc?), so it?s nice to run things by someone who?s in the business. Again, Thanks
  • Jamie is a good guy...................Really knows his stuff..........
  • Have spoken with Jamie a time or two myself and he took the time to help me and is very knowledgeable in the marine industry
  • Jamie, yes your opinion helps alot. Thank you again for your expert advice. Rock
  • Jamie is "The Man"

  • Hey Jamie, Thanks for the follow up. I am going to hold off for a while to see if i can locate a used one. If one doesn't show up, I?ll be getting back to you in the future. Thanks again. Ken
  • I've seen this boat in Jamie's shop. It's beyond immaculate. Would make a real head turner for someone. Rich
  • Jamie gets my thumbs up for customer service. He has been babysitting half of my boat for the last year while I work on the other half. Greg
  • Congrats on the new ride....looks awesome! Thanks for the help today!! KJ
  • Jamie, nice color scheme... thanks for the info on the hydraulic steering systems. I am still making up my mind; I will let you know regarding the IMCO. Again, congrats and we will have to talk about Whipple's as well.
  • Sweet ride Jamie try to make it up to 1K  islands we could use a few more dark colored hulls! Phil
  • Jamie, That's SWEEEEEEET. Can't wait to read about upgrades and improvements you make to your boat.
  • Thumbs up for Lakeside Restorations: I ordered some parts from them and have been very pleased with the results. Jamie was quite helpful and knowledgeable. He did a great job of articulating details my specific mods to my local mechanic. In addition, his follow up was great. He called both mechanic and myself to make sure that everyone was in the loop during all steps. My mechanic (whom I have a deal of respect for) was equally impressed. He mentioned that after every discussion it was obvious that Jamie had taken notes and outlined every concern. I would recommend using him as a resource for any substantial mods such as blowers etc. It is great to have someone like that on your side once things get outside of the box. BTW Jamie, everything looks good so far. Larry Tatum did a great job of getting everything set up. Everything pretty much worked out fine on the first voyage. We have some dialing in left but the initial power increase felt solid. I will keep you posted on the results.
  • Jamie seems like a straight shooter, who enjoys what he does.
  • Jamie has been extremely helpful to me.
  • Jamie made my boat look brand new with fiberglass restoration work, it really needed it, a full custom cover, as well as rebuilding and painting my outdrive, and came in at $300 below his estimate, he's really a stand up guy. Rich
  • Jamie has been a great help to me in my quest to restore my Blackhawk. He runs a first class operation. Greg
  • Jamie has been a big to help to me also. He sold me my 22ZX later in 2003, and installed a procharger over that winter. The boat went from about 60 to mid 70s any day of the week. have run 2 full seasons with that setup now, and the boat runs great. (you see it in his ads) Happy New Year all!
  • The best option you have is Jamie @ Lakeside Restorations. If Donzi still makes it, he can get it.
  • If I remember it seems to me our new sponsor (Lakeside) had some luck a while back getting some parts from Donzi where others had failed before.... I'm not certain but might be worth a try. Congrats on the new ride, buy the way... Frank
  • Jamie, I sent you an email last night. Oops, I just checked my email, and you had already responded. I'll call you today.... Joe
  • Jamie, Great lookin? Classic! I have plans to come over to PA the week after AOTH 5. I'd like to see Lakeside Restorations. I'll be up near Allentown and then probably a trip down south near Philly. I'll have to look up where your shop is located and see how it fits into my plans...
  • Damn, I just read that speed increase on the Donzi small block! Very impressive. You must be at least 430 hp or so now!
  • Thanks for the reply - still trying to decide between the two systems. Working on how to plumb the oil cooler, the 6.2 doesn't have one from the factory, so that's my first project - I installed stainless marine exhaust manifolds and risers, and a Kand N flame arrestor - so I figured the oil cooler would be a good addition. Thanks again
  • Jamie does nice work!!!!
  • Jamie, it's very obvious your having way tooo much fun... I'm jealous. Jim
  • Lakeside Restorations, Unbelievable service: I was more than pleased by the service I received from the owners and employees at Lakeside Restoration. I live in the Bahamas and some parts for the 18 Donzi Classic are almost impossible to find here locally. I had tried to order some Donzi OEM parts from the Donzi Dealer (Aquatoystore) in Florida and to this day they have not even returned my calls after leaving numerous messages. I then posted a message on this site and by the following morning I had communicated with Jamie over at Lakeside who is a "man of his word". He responded to all emails, he accepted all calls, and most of all, he was able to get the parts and have them shipped well ahead of the promised delivery date. I would suggest that if anyone needs some hard-to-find parts they can visit Lakeside Restorations website at www.lakesiderestoration.com I am sure Jamie will be more than happy to assist.... Legend
  • Jamie was very helpful to me also. He'll get those Donzi parts you need, if they're available. He's also able to source engine and drive parts.  P.S.,  he also builds blower engines.
  • Jamie is a great guy..... Not sure what his wife is doing with him...but that's another story.... I have visited his shop and we reviewed in detail what I was looking to do.... he is tight with Woody Jackson.... and I keep trying to encourage him to come to some Events...especially Dustoff, Winnie, 1000 Isles and the owners Rally. Keep up the Good Work Jamie!.. Doc
  • Thank you Jamie! Folks, the specs on these really fit the bill AND the budget! Also they look really good! Jamie does a great job on the phone, and was very helpful to source some additional items. George
  • I just want to take the time to praise Jamie over at Lakeside
  • Restorations for helping out with my Trim Pump questions. He spent alot of time giving me the straightforward answers not trying to sell me something I didn't need. I would HIGHLY recommend him if your looking for parts. Dave
  • Thanks Jamie. I went to your web site and checked it out. Looks very nice and you guys look like you do nice work. New impellers are on my list and I will give your shop a call. Thanks

  • Call Jamie at Lakeside, one of our sponsors. He's helped me with a lot in the past. Rich
  • Lakeside restorations--- I'll keep you in mind for sure when I'm ready to buy in a couple of weeks! Thanks! Rich
  • Jamie, I got the fuel caps today from Fed-Express as promised. They should be prefect just the way they are without the trip ring. Now if I could just get the boat out of the barn......Thanks, Wally
  • Jamie, Thanks for the reply. I sent the email from the wrong computer and didn't find it until just now. Rats! Thanks, Jason
  • One thing I would recommend is running boost and fuel pressure gauges. Especially since fuel pressure is paramount to the whole process. If you lose fuel pressure under boost and get a lean situation then look out. If you don't have those gauges then contact JW. He knows just what you need and has them.
  • Lakeside Restorations... I wanna thank Jamie over at Lakeside Restorations as he has been VERY helpful in this with me both here on the site and on the phone. Dave
  • Thanks Jamie, I will definitely call you.
  • Thanks Jamie, I still need a few parts to get the boat ready for summer. So I will be ordering from you.

  • I'm working on same year 18 footer with a 400 small block, Plan on a bit more $$. I went with Jamie at Lakeside and would do business with him again anytime.
  • GLMs are a base level upgrade. You can spend an amazing amount on exhaust hardware with little effort. GLMs are a value point upgrade. Jamie at lakeside has been around here a while and is quite helpful and a respected retailer. Although I am not a customer personally.
  • Jamie took good care of me on my birthday (that doesn't sound to good ) he had my boat ready to go he even took time out of his busy day to install my Italian steering wheel which was NOT and easy install (sorry Jamie) we even put on the new prop that ya sent me. Boat is home safe and sound and ready to test the new prop.
  • Thanks Jamie for taking the time to talk on the phone yesterday. I see that the Trim Sending unit that i ordered on line has been shipped as of this morning. Thanks for the great service. Keith & Joyce.
  • Jamie @ Lakeside will take care of all of that when I am ready to pull the trigger on the exhaust. Have a great summer...
  • Jamie: Thank you for your response. I will check the pick up, that would be a good place to start. Garrett Put the CMI EXHAUST on forget those stinking tips sounds great, pick mine up from Jamie @ Lakeside next week hope to get her on the water soon after.
